Creating a stained-metal effect with Mr. Hobby Marker Metallic Set

Good day everyone,

Today we would like to share with you a wonderful article at Nippper.com about creating a stained-metal effect using Mr. Hobby Markers. We encourage you to check out the article as it is well written (though in Japanese) and includes an in-depth tutorial.

The article shows how to use the new Mr. Hobby Marker Metallic Set and the Gundam Marker Real Touch Sets to create a realistic-looking rear-end for an F-4 Phantom fighter jet model.

In the article, the author first applies base colors to the rear-end using colors from various marker sets. Then, the author uses the CM100 Shade Off Marker (included in the Metallic Set, Real Touch Set 1 and Real Touch Set 2) to blend the base colors together.

The result is a clean and seamless blend between all the colors, thanks to the fact that all of them are made of the same water-based material.

We think that the article was very informative, and we happily recommend that you check it out to see how the stain effect was created!

For us at True Scale Hobby, we are happy to announce that we are now distributing the Mr. Hobby Marker Metallic Set which was featured in the article. For those interested in the new marker set, check with your nearest hobby store today!
